This project was created by Garland West. She is a freelancer who specializes in digital marketing and has volunteered her skills to create the website and coordinate the effort across the Carolinas.

BSA Troop 250of Fort Mill, SC is helping out with the project.

Members of the troop, and some moms, are making masks and they have held a supply drive and received donations of much needed elastic and cotton materials to use when fulfilling requests. Bravo, team!

MakerSpace Charlotte is a not-for-profit community facility where creative minds have access to equipment and building space for a supportive shared learning experience.

The Forge Initiative is the first Open Innovation Tech Space in the Triangle area of North Carolina, a space where people come together to form a community to create their own journey of innovation, exploration, creativity and learning, using conventional and cutting edge technologies.

#CLTgivePPE has formed a partnership with Atrium Health, Novant Health & Mecklenburg County Health Department and are urgently requesting donations of unused Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in Charlotte, NC. Special thanks to Goodwill Industries of Southern Piedmont for allowing them to utilize locations for donations.

Empower for Hope is a Charlotte-based nonprofit that empowers and employs refugee and immigrant women to sew clothing and gifts from African print fabric. The proceeds of these sales go to support artisan sewers in Burundi Africa as well. 

Shield Charlotte is a grassroots community initiative to 3D Print face shields for the protection of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 global pandemic. Our core team of 3 printers and 1 laser cutter are all married to nurses and passionately committed to protecting their own and their community on the frontlines. Through the generosity of community donations our goal is to provide face shields for as many healthcare professionals as possible. See the team in action in this video>>
